CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR 2024 FHSAA STATE PLACERS!
BHWC brings home hardware from the FHSAA state tournament. There were six BHWC place winners, five of them wrestling in the 3A Boys division and a singular girl place winner. Seniors Cole O'Brien(3rd, 138), Joseph Kohlhaas(8th, 215), and Malachi Mista(5th, 165) each wrapped up their senior season on positive records, the most notable record being Cole O'Brien's, finishing his high school career on an impressive 165-19 setting a very notable school record for wins. Juniors Elias Twigg(8th, 144), and Kyle Brown(5th, 120) made a valiant run through their own very respective 3A brackets each earning a vital 1st round win. Last but not least our girl placer Sara Goodman(8th, 135) wrestled a very tough bracket, there are no classifications for girls in the FHSAA State Series, this means more tough wrestlers and less winners. She had an extremely impressive 1st period pin over eventual 4th place winner Eysis Brinson and battled through consi's to earn a well deserved podium spot.
